I Black Helium, originari di Londra, sono Stuart Grey (voce e chitarra), Beck Harvey (basso), Davey Mulka (chitarra), Diogo Gomes (batteria). Fans dei sixties e seventies appartengono all’orgiastica cerimonia sonora di Stooges e MC5, alla derivazione hard-blues dei Groundhogs, ai violenti e ossessivi, pantagruelici, primi Hawkwind ed al trip demoniaco dei Black Sabbath. Siamo al punto di fusione tra occult-psych e space-
doom dove si disintegra l’anima at maximum volume, modellizzato nelle pieghe artefatte di reazioni che il Dio greco, Helios, emette nel suo carro trainato da quattro cavalli. Il fuoco sprigionato dalle narici è di colore nero ionizzato, suadente e sinistro come una parabola esoterica.
“The Wholly Other” è la prosecuzione dell’ottimo esordio datato 2018, “Primitive Fuck”, dove i concetti heavy psych hanno contorni più meditati ed in cui l’intreccio noise-stoner approfondisce un’allucinata processione monolitica consecutivamente futuribile. Emergono tre brani contaminati da un virus venefico per ogni entità biologica: ‘Hippie On A Slab’ dove “amare, uccidere è la stessa cosa” con mammoth-
riff magniloquenti. ‘Death Station of the Goddess’ un mantra sciamanico che si scontra con lande deserte, inglobando il rumore più sprezzante in uno stato di incosciente vortice spaziale. ‘Pink Bolt’ è il succedersi degli eventi ritenuto come preordinato e necessario, al disopra dell’umana capacità di volere e di potere, asteroidi che colpiscono i vecchi EMS VCS3 e polverizzano le epoche.
Un’album che assomiglia ad una gemma pagana non di questa Terra.

Black Helium, originally from London, are Stuart Gray (vocals and guitar), Beck Harvey (bass), Davey Mulka (guitar), Diogo Gomes (drums). Fans of the sixties and seventies belong to the orgy sound ceremony of Stooges and MC5, to the hard-blues derivation of the Groundhogs, to the violent and obsessive, gargantuan, early Hawkwinds and to the demonic trip of the Black Sabbath. We are at the fusion point between occult-psych and space-doom where the soul disintegrates at maximum volume, modeled in the artificial folds of reactions that the Greek God, Helios, emits in his chariot drawn by four horses. The fire given off from the nostrils is ionized black coloured, persuasive and sinister like an esoteric parable.
“The Wholly Other” is the continuation of the excellent debut dated 2018, “Primitive Fuck”, where heavy psych concepts have more meditated outlines and in which the noise-stoner plot deepens a hallucinated monolithic procession consecutively futuristic.Three pieces contaminated by a poisonous virus emerge for each biological entity: ‘Hippie On A Slab’ where “loving, killing it’s the same thing” with grandiloquent mammoth-riffs. ‘Death Station of the Goddess’ a shamanic mantra that collides with waste lands, engulfing the most contemptuous noise in a state of unconscious space vortex. ‘Pink Bolt’ is the succession of events considered to be preordained and necessary, above the human capacity of will and power, asteroids that hit the old EMS VCS3 and pulverize the ages.
An album that looks like a pagan gem not of this Earth.
